Healthy students learn better. The places where we live, learn, work and play have a huge influence on our health and wellbeing. Our children spend about one third of their day at school, and we take responsibility for their welfare seriously.
We love our sport at Fishy and are very proud of our achievements. In addition to our weekly PE sessions with our PE specialist and classroom teachers, our students are given opportunities to participate in a wide range of inter-school sports, including swimming, athletics, winter sport and the zone lightning premiership. We compete with our Waratah Cluster teams in athletics and swimming and often send off some students to divisional, regional and state-wide sporting events.
The “peaceful Kids” program is a Mindfulness and Positive Thinking based program to lessen anxiety and stress to increase resilience in kids. The program helps children to build their emotional resilience so they are better equipped to deal with the day to day stresses that life brings them.
